Auckland, New Zealand based Automotive Photographer.
I have been shooting solo for roughly 3 years now, covering everything from Motorsport events through to local car meets.
Heavily focused on the Auckland drift scene, I have been a regular at local D1NZ rounds as well as countless grassroots track days.
Common questions I am asked on the regular:
Camera gear:
- Canon 5D Mark III
- Canon 70-200mm F/4 L
- Canon 85mm F/1.8
- Canon 50mm F/1.8
- Canon 17-40mm F/4 L
How to get into shooting and what your focus should be:
- Practice, practice, practice. (Glue the camera to your hand if you have too)
- Forget your camera body, something simple first. Focus on picking up lenses that will help you take varied shots and stand out.
- Vantage points, no point in shooting a standard 3/4 view, use your phone for that…
- Lightroom, Photoshop and use it. I mean USE it, forget Netflix or Xbox, go back to point one. (Practice, practice, practice)
